About
Imogen Wilson is a visual artist and director working across film, photography, and casting-led storytelling.
Her practice sits at the intersection of beauty, identity, and feminine allure, often exploring the tension between intimacy and spectacle. With a background in casting, her work is deeply rooted in people, drawing out presence and character.
Working fluidly between commissioned and self-initiated projects, Imogen approaches each piece as a world-building exercise, where every frame is intentional and emotionally charged. Her work is developed in collaboration with both emerging and established talent, with a focus on female-led subjects.
She is currently based in Melbourne, with ongoing work across Australia and internationally.

DREAMS
2023
There is magic all around, and she makes it impossible to miss. Dreams consists not only of photos, but of portals. The possibility of adventure is enough
to suck anyone in.
- Office Magazine
Between all the bleached hair, toys, tattoos and cityscapes, DREAMS is a reminder of the spirit that defines girlhood. And that never needs to end.

Dreams
Collecting photographs from 2019–2022 on her travels through Australia and Japan, 'Dreams' captures the world through the eyes of renowned photographer Imogen Wilson — enchanted, colourful and full of possibility. A meditation on friendship, girlhood, self-actualisation, youth, motherhood, identity and adventure.
Imogen's outlook is playful above all, finding the mischief and hidden magic in anything she points her lens at. Toys, bedrooms, friends, landscapes and still lifes all serve as metaphors and illustrate her singular perspective on the world: cheeky, feminine, tough and glamorous all at once. This is a document of a moment in time, capturing the post-internet melting pot of subcultures and aesthetics, the cultural feedback loop of a globalised world — rendered personal, fresh and intimate through her choices. Visually the book is spellbinding and ethereal, with a colour palette that is at once vibrant and washed out; bright and muted, uncanny — as if in Dreams. — Jack Mannix
